Report on your funding

Regular reporting keeps the MHCLG delivery team updated and connected, its central to running the funding programme and tailors how best to support the Community.

Monthly reporting includes completing a monthly reporting form and a month note. They are due by the last working day of the month. Monthly reporting is an opportunity to update on your project progress, share feedback and request any support during your journey.

Monthly reporting form

As part of your funding, each month you must submit your monthly updates on the Digital Planning Programme form on Delta. Lead officers for each Local Planning Authority will receive details on how to register for Delta.

The form covers:

  • Go‑live dates for publishing data or software
  • Remaining funding
  • Project updates (successes, challenges, next steps)
  • Support needed
  • Any other relevant information

Month notes

Each month you write a short update on what your team is delivering, this is your month note. It keeps the Community updated on your progress.

You will post your monthnote in the relevant Slack channel for your fund (ask your community manager if unsure). You’ll also be able to read others’ updates and share experiences across the community.

What Makes a Good Month Note

  • Length: 200–400 words
  • Honest: Share successes and blockers openly, peers may be able to help
  • Human: Write in an engaging, relatable way
  • Visual: Use images or screenshots to bring updates to life
  • Consistent: Post regularly to build trust

Even if you feel blocked, share what’s happening, mention related council activities or programme involvement that others may find useful.

Request Access

If access is required for more colleagues in your LPA then please complete this short form.
