What content design is
Content design helps users find and do what they need to in the easiest way possible. Essentially, it’s creating clear, concise and engaging content for products and services. Often it’s words, but sometimes it’s video, graphs, infographics, images or maps, too.
Why it’s important to ODP
ODP is a very large programme. Not everything can be communicated verbally to everyone, so a lot of it is done in writing. Getting this written communication to be as clear, concise and effective as possible is a vital part of ODP functioning.
Why is it important in working life
Almost everyone who works in an office environment will have to write or create content at some point. Whether that’s writing an email or newsletter or designing a website, learning how to communicate information as clearly and efficiently as possible is a vital skill that is so rarely learnt.
